Marathon
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Thank you for checking out my first Visual Novel!
Average Playtime: 10-30 minutes
The game is named "Marathon" where you star as a person who has a career in Long Distant running but suddenly during a marathon you collapse. While recovering in the hospital you meet another patient, Ash, who keeps you company while you physically and mentally recover from your collapse.
Originally the game was made for the Trans Joy Jam back in March but i couldn't get it out in time.
This is a solo passion project for me to learn and create visual novels on the regular as a solo dev where (almost) everything is made by me. So if you have any critique or interest in what i make next please follow my socials and comment/dm me

I'm impressed by everything you've done solo.
I agree that the colors of the text box and names can be a bit hard to read sometimes.
The storytelling is this game's strongest point, but you did good on everything else as well : music, graphics, coding, the global vibes of the game. Good job. :)
I enjoyed the story, it was short and sweet! The main character is unfortunately pretty relatable for me and I suspect to a lot of people. Ash is cute and I would love to get to know them more.
My big piece of feedback is that the colors for the characters' names above their dialogue boxes are kind of jarring and hard to read on certain backgrounds (especially the unnamed man's bright red and the nurse's bright green, which pop but don't match up to the colors of the rest of the game and feel harsh)
Thank You For Playing! I will note these down for next time as these are valid complaints. Glad you enjoyed it as well!
